6-Hour California Notary Public Training 

Ready, Set, Notarize, an approved California Secretary of State vendor, offers the mandatory 6-hour training for new and expired notary applicants. This in-person course covers notary laws, responsibilities, proper procedures, ID verification, journal/seal rules, and exam preparation tips.

Includes:
• 6 hours of instructor-led training
• Official handbook & study materials
• Certificate of Completion (required for state exam)
• Guidance on registering for the exam

Requirements: Must be 18+, a California resident, and present valid photo ID. Full attendance is required.

Next Steps: After completing the course, students schedule the state exam with CPS HR and complete Live Scan fingerprinting for a background check.
